 Dr. Esther Kawira, medical director and founding member of the SHED Foundation, is a Family medicine physician who has a faculty appointment at the USC Keck School of Medicine. She has worked at Shirati Hospital for 23 years.  Neda Roosta is a third year medical student at the USC Keck School of Medicine. She traveled to Shirati, Tanzania in the summer of 2009 to work at the clinic with Dr. Kawira & Dr. Mull. |
 Dr. Dennis Mull is an early partner of the SHED Foundation and president of the U.S. Branch of SHED. He is a Family Medicine physician and Professor of Clinical Medicine at the USC Keck School of Medicine.  Jim Behan has been conducting research in leukemia/lymphoma for the last 4 years in the Mittelman Lab at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. He is a second year medical student at the USC Keck School of Medicine. |
